  1. Totals for 1 day to and from work w/o motorbike:
    Cost: $3 @ $1.50/way.
Distance Walked: ~3 miles, home to bus, bus to work, work to bus, bus to home.
Time Loss: 2-3 hours/day, depending on time leaving work, pace of ambulation and bus arrival time (thank you onebusaway).

Totals for 1 day to and from work w/ motorbike:
Cost: $3.43 - $4.14 including insurance, maintenance and fuel cost.
Distance Walked: 50 ft, down hall and stairs.
Time Loss: 10 minutes for suiting up and down twice.

**Time loss due to traffic would be equitable.

  2. I've found that I hate transferring unless I have a companion. If I'm traveling alone, I am more inclined to walk ten blocks (and Salt Lake City blocks are huge), than waste my emotional energy on waiting for a different bus. I am lucky enough to live in the Central City, so my access to good bus routes and light rail are pretty good. Sometimes, I will just walk instead, because the weather is nice.
